Norfolk Coast - Integrated Guidance

This illustrated Guidance provides a 'one stop shop' for all those who are involved in planning and managing the landscape of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

The Guidance sets out to describe the distinctive character of the Norfolk Coast AONB, taking account of its scenic qualities, its ecological value and its historical development. It draws on material within the relevant district landscape character assessments, but focuses on guidance to conserve and enhance the key environmental assets which are particularly vulnerable to change. The Guidance has an illustrative style; it is designed for use by planning officers, landowners, developers, local communities and land managers alike. A combination of text, annotated sketches, GIS maps and photographs are used to promote an understanding of the AONB landscape, the constraints and opportunities it presents to development and a vision for its future.
