Analysis
Larkhall Park, Lambeth

A creative masterplan, designed in conjunction with the local community, which led to the implementation of new sports area and tennis courts. The plans have since been used as a lever to attract further funding.

The proposals respond to natural desire lines, de-cluttering spaces and defining connections between the principal 'activity hubs' in the park. Sheils Flynn has designed and implemented projects for two areas - the tennis courts along Union Grove and the gateway to the park at Priory Grove. We have worked closely with the local community to integrate and enhance existing facilities, while providing a focus for new activities along the 'spine' of the park. This is an intensively used park which has suffered from problems of crime and anti-social behavior. It is becoming a centre of activity for the surrounding neighbourhood
